At Sprouting Roots, our approach to play-based early learning in Calgary began with a simple hope: to create a place where children feel safe, cared for, and truly at home. We believe young children thrive when they are free to be themselves and to enjoy the simple joy of being children.
We believe learning happens best through play-based early learning, where curiosity is encouraged and children are gently supported as they explore the world around them. In our home-based space, learning shows up in everyday moments — building, pretending, asking questions, laughing together, and forming close relationships.
We take our time here. Children are given the space to grow at their own pace, supported by steady routines, familiar faces, and a calm environment that helps them feel secure and confident as they learn.

Fee Structure
Sprouting Roots is a licensed play-based dayhome, monitored by an approved agency and aligned with Alberta’s child care standards.
As a licensed family day home, Sprouting Roots follows Alberta’s publicly funded child care fee structure. This ensures families receive high-quality, regulated care at consistent and affordable monthly rates.
Monthly Parent Fees:
Our fees are set according to Alberta’s affordability initiative and are based on the number of care hours used each month.
Full-Time Care (100+ hours/month)
Part-Time Care (50–99 hours/month)
These rates help make licensed child care accessible while maintaining a warm, nurturing, and well-supported learning environment.

Registration Fee:
A one-time registration fee applies at enrollment. This fee supports onboarding, materials, and program setup.
